SUMMARY The Expediting Clerk is responsible to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs and production problems, as well as creating all shipping documents. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create all shipping documents including commercial invoices, certificate of conformance, etc. and coordinate shipping with freight forwarders Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information, so that status reports can be completed Confer with internal personnel and customers to coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays Contact internal purchasing department to verify shipment details Examine documents, materials and products. Monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes Maintains files such as maintenance records, bills of lading and cost reports Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties and changes to cost estimates Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions QUALIFICATIONS Expediting/ material handling experience within a manufacturing/ production environment Understand production environment and how production flows through assembly Working on aftermarket items and pushing hot orders through process cross training as production manager and logistics lead Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to solve complex problems Quality focused Excellent time management and organizational skills Basic mathematical computation skills Service oriented EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have a High School diploma or GED Why Kelly--?
