THIS IS THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY Your Responsibilities 1. Delivering REAL--Legendary Service: Maintains and owns member communication via phone, email--and face to face interaction, regarding the status of the member---s mortgage--loan, including but not limited to what to expect during the loan process,--underwriting requirements/conditions needed to meet TDECU and secondary market--guidelines. Creates a REAL Legendary Service experience for members, team--members and vendors by maintaining a professional demeanor and delivering--service that embodies the REAL culture. 2. Member communication: Makes initial--call to member. Confirms all information--on loan application and confirms anticipated closing date. Guides and coaches members through mortgage--loan process to ensure on time closing. Answers questions and recognizes issues--to escalate to management to ensure a positive member experience. Keeps member--applicant and other parties to the loan advised as to the loan status--throughout the process. Implements and performs according to the established--TDECU REAL standards. Provides updates in a timely manner and follows up on--member issues to ensure a successful and efficient process. 3. Documentation--administration: Receives loan file from Mortgage Loan Officer and reviews--file for regulatory compliance with TDECU, Federal, State and investor--guidelines and all other loan program required documentation. Completes Loan--Officer Accuracy Scorecard, which ---grades--- Mortgage Loan Officer on application--and file completeness. 4. Process--administration: Calculates income and reviews asset information. Sends all--other required verification requests including verification of deposits,--verification of employment, verification of rent, verification of mortgage,--etc. Requests payoff statements as--needed. Submits file to Underwriter. Communicates underwriting conditions to member and collects specified--items. Ensures all regulatory and underwriting conditions are met--by reviewing what member or third party provides and making sure it meets what--was specified. Receives clear to close. Reviews insurance, title, survey, payoff statements,--mortgage insurance, Desktop Underwriter and UCDP (if applicable). Makes sure all items meet TDECU and investor--guidelines. 5. Quality assurance:--Ensures all documentation for mortgage loans is complete and accurate to--meet TDECU and secondary market guidelines. Prepares file for closing,--communicating with member and closer all remaining outstanding items. Organizes--loan file according to department checklists and takes accountability for each--item by signing off on each checked off item. Submits a complete and accurate file to closing department. Manages and--monitors deadlines to meet closing timelines. 6. Professional--development: Promotes individual professional growth; stays abreast of--employment laws. Fosters teamwork and career development within the extended mortgage--team. Provide continuous education to internal team members and members--regarding TDECU---s Wholesale programs to expand referral pipelines to achieve--projected market penetration goals. 7. Service Standards--and Best Practices: Supports and maintains service standards for the TDECU--Mortgage team. Participates on cross--functional teams to represent and serve as an advocate for the mortgage team.--Proactively communicates service level agreements and standards to external agency--partners. Researches and presents best--practices to the mortgage team and the organization to increase quality and--efficiency. Effectively manages time and prioritizes tasks to meet all closing--dates and ensure positive member experience. 8. Audit &--Compliance support: Reviews loan file for compliance with Federal and State--regulatory guidelines as well as Investor/Insurer guidelines and credit union--policy. Adheres to policy changes for all investor, secondary market, Federal--Housing Administration (FHA), Veteran Affairs (VA), Premium Mortgage Insurance--(PMI) and TDECU guideline changes. Completes all mandatory compliance testing within designated--time frame and other compliance assignments including Office of Foreign Assets--Control (OFAC), Unusual Activity Reports (UAR), and Security processes.--Implements processes as required by the Bank Secrecy Act and TDECU policies and--procedures including but not limited to completing and submitting Currency--Transaction Reports, being knowledgeable of signs of unusual financial--activities, and reporting signs of unusual activity and/or completing reporting--for Suspicious Activity Report as appropriate per procedure. Stays abreast of changes within the credit union relating to--services and procedures. Your Education and--Experience Essential education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Essential experience: Level 1: One to two years experience processing conventional loans or--related mortgage experience required. Level 2: Two to Three years experience processing conventional loans or--related mortgage experience required. Level 3: Three to Four years experience processing conventional loans in--a high volume environment or related mortgage experience required. Level 4: Four year + experience processing conventional loans in a high--volume environment or related mortgage experience required.
