Job Description:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This is a primary technical position responsible for the proper
operation, maintenance, support and documentation of the Bank's
Information Technologies and Systems.
MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the
integrity/availability of all hardware, server resources, systems,
and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and
verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Maintenance and support of network and server environment,
including regular software updates and firmware patching.
- Works with approved outside vendors to maintain the financial
institution's operational equipment, systems, and
environments.
- Write thorough and technical documentation for IT staff and
regulatory purposes.
- Works with Sr IT Staff to design, implement and support a
secure and effective network environment.
- Develops and implements an approved operational data backup
plan designed to protect and limit the bank's exposure to data loss
or disaster.
- Provides necessary training to financial institution personnel
on operational and support topics.
- Performs basic security functions as required.
- May require to be on-call and work outside of normal business
hours as needed.
- May require travel to onsite locations to upgrade or replace
systems with new software and hardware. WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO
SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field or
- Associate degree with equivalent industry experience in
supporting a bank's IT Systems. Experience with virtualization
technology, Citrix, Windows Server, Active Directory, Cisco
routing/switching and SD Wan technologies.
- 2-5 years of experience in technology and banking in lieu of
degree.
- Ability to interact with and communicate with members of
cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of operating and support systems.
- Working knowledge of the financial institution's
vendor-specific operational systems and environment.
- Working knowledge of data backup, business continuity
technologies and patch management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Ability to set and consistently meet deadlines and
commitments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to details.
