Partner with the best

As a Materials Planner, you are r esponsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Works with the sales and commercial team, region personnel, AMO and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) across multiple time horizons in of physical orders and ensures they are delivered to meet the customer requirements.

In this role, your duties will include:

  • Work with the sales and operations team to convert the demand plans into physical orders. Understands business trends, opportunities and how they impact the demand forecast.
  • Assist in the execution and drives consistency of the S&OP process
  • Analyze incoming demand: identifies order exceptions, misalignment with product rationalization strategy and opportunities to utilize existing inventory
  • Plan and schedule order timelines to be consistent with customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping costs
  • Work with the Product Line/Sales/Service Delivery to prioritize deliver dates as needed (push outs, pull ins)
  • Perform various material management analysis such as statistical material consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged PO, in-transit material analysis, safety stock, etc.
  • Implement inventory stocking strategies
  • Monitor levels of safety stock, global and aging inventory and works with regions and manufacturing plants to address accordingly
    Work to ensure new assets, repaired assets and spares are captured with the Sales & Operations Planning process
  • Assists with product life cycle management for new and obsolete products to ensure they are incorporated into the S&OP process
  • Assists in driving product line make to stock (MTS), make to order (MTO), configure to order (CTO) and engineer to order (ETO) standards are implemented in the S&OP process

    To be successful in this role you will:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent experience 5 years' experience working in Material Planning
    • Experience in order management, inventory optimization and management, asset utilization and management
    • Intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality
    • Ability to work with and influence stakeholders
    • Strategic thinking with tactical execution with a sense of urgency
    • Experience working with international vendors
    • Coordinate parts orders and ensure orders will arrive before project deadlines
    • Plan assembly of tools
