Job Description:
Job Role: - Data Architect
Purpose
The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist the
Director Data Architecture place data and our advanced analytics
products at the center of our sales process. The role will involve
forming deep relationships with the client and internal Business
stakeholders to support the Data Architecture Director to
1) Establish and implement a Data Architecture Strategy,
Principles, Governance and process
2) Provide Technical thought leadership to drive constant
improvements and to create new Data product opportunities
The Data Architect role is responsible for supporting the
definition, upholding, and communicating the Data Architecture
Strategy and solutions that support the business strategies of our
company.
The Data Architect role is responsible for maintaining the body of
documents that enable the communication, governance and review of
the Data Architecture strategy
Key Responsibilities
Help establish a clear, consistent technology vision through
collaboration, influence, and enablement.
Maintain, develop and evolve current and future state architecture
and associated reference models based on a domain and systems
capability view
Understand, advocate and support our--data strategies
Develop and maintain our-enterprise data landscape
Develop and maintain our-roadmap to target state architecture
Establish good and best practise. Formalize pipeline best practise
reviews. Encourage good & best practise across technology and
operational teams.
Ensures system, technical and product architectures are aligned
with business objectives
Review new and existing initiatives for compliance with Data
Architecture standards, policies and architectural plans
Assist in establishing our-Data Architecture governance and
principles, to optimise the Products and Business outputs.
Develop, promote, communicate, implement and apply architecture
governance processes and related organisational principles,
standards and policies including all governance processes that
ensure architectural alignment of all solution throughout the
solution lifecycle.
Gain organizational commitment for enterprise level application
architecture and related initiatives
Maintain in-depth knowledge of IT industry best practices,
technologies, architectures and emerging technologies
Review new and existing initiatives for compliance with company
standards, policies and architectural plans
Experience and Skill Set
5+ years in industry experience and can include postdoctoral
academic experience.
Possess the ability to manage clients and internal stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills and sense of initiative
Strong data presentation and communication skills: Ability to
clearly convey complex data and AI issues to client
The ability to work independently and in a team environment
The ability to work effectively across functions, levels and
disciplines
Strong knowledge of SQL and R or Python
Experience in visualization and or database management tools
Experience with enterprise architectural frameworks and building
architecture roadmap
Possess strong problems solving and critical thinking skills
Understanding of security regulations and compliance standards i.e.
PCI, SOX, GDPR etc
Strong vendor management skills
Demonstrate the ability to influence senior stakeholders both
financially and strategically
Displays high levels of self-awareness and emotional intelligence
in all situations
Authentic, transparent, considerate and works hard to create a
winning team
Possess breadth and depth technical understanding and have the
ability to put technical issues into simply layman's terms
Excellent understanding of the data architecture discipline,
processes, concepts, and best practices
Education and Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent or able to demonstrate
equivalent experience in industry
