SUMMARY The SAP Project Manager is responsible for managing all activities related to the greenfield SAP S/4 HANA implementation project in support of Gulf States Toyota's business and technology transformation efforts. They ensure that all SAP project goals are accomplished according to specifications and business objectives. This role works closely with the SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager and the GST Director, Enterprise Projects to manage this complex project and understands our application roadmap and dependencies with other enterprise transformation initiatives. The SAP Project Manager must have 5+ years of experience managing medium to large SAP Implementation Projects. The person in this position has strong organizational savvy and successfully manages risks, issues, and work streams for project team members. The SAP Project Manager works with the IT Management team as needed to assess the health of a given project based on common metrics and best practice. RESPONSIBILITIES * Facilitates the discovery and high-level analysis process with the SAP Implementation Partner for the SAP S/4 HANA implementation project in support of our technical transformation. * Assists the SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager and the GST Director, Enterprise Projects in developing and managing the roadmap for all SAP S/4 HANA integration needs with internal and external systems outside of SAP. * Owns and drives the project jointly with the SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager * Coordinates all aspects of the project to meet defined objectives * Manages relationships with the project stakeholders * Prepares GST's overall project schedule * Provides updates to the master project schedule for GST's tasks and activities * Prioritizes and manages GST project backlogs to optimize the utilization of GST project team members. * Prioritizes the list of identified gaps from Fit-to-Standard workshops * Along with the SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager, records decisions, assumptions and business impacts from any changes in scope that come out of Design/Fit-to-Standard Workshops * Confirms solution design document. * Proactively manages project issues and risks and helps eliminate bottlenecks to maximize team efficiency. * Works with SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager to insure that the Governance process is adhered to throughout the project * Works with SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager to produce the cutover plan for the project * Obtains Go/no-go decision and document voting/concerns/conditions/exceptions * Manages execution of cutover activities (across multiple sites/offices etc.) * Manages Go-live * Works with the SAP Implementation Partner Project Manager to develop and manage plans for user acceptance testing, system implementation, and warranty support. * Conducts regular retrospective meetings and support a culture of continuous improvement. * Develops and leverages strong partnerships with IT and business leadership. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS * Requires a bachelor's degree with 8 plus years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Experience with SAP ERP implementation projects of moderate to high complexity, SAP S/4 HANA a plus. * Experience with SAP BW 4 HANA implementations a plus. * Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the systems development life cycle and project delivery life cycle. * Strong analytical skills with an aptitude of understanding complex business processes and functions. * Ability to challenge, recommend and redirect teams as necessary for successful project delivery. * Strong interpersonal skills including ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership. * Has a track record of aligning large groups of diverse stakeholders on project plans, risk mitigation, and issue resolution. * Ability to navigate significant business relationships and align where both parties achieve a win-win outcome. * Experience in agile project management best practices and tooling. * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day; and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate is occasionally required to travel to other sites, including out-of-state, where applicable, for business. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While the job is generally performed in an office environment, the associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the office environment is typically quiet, but the associate may be occasionally exposed to loud noise levels. TRAVEL REQUIRED Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis). Is legally able to work in the United States.
