Job Description:
POSITION REPORTS TO: Recruiting Manager SCHEDULE: 8:00am to
5:00pm. Some overtime, weekends and some travel will be required
WAGES: Commensurate with experience and skills RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, interview, screen, and hire drivers, helpers and other
personnel as required Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and
evaluating job candidates; advising managers; managing relocations
and re-positioning based on demand Establish recruiting
requirements by maintaining contact with managers and supervisors,
and discussing needs Build applicant sources by researching and
contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies,
media, and internet sites, and providing organization information,
opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining
rapport Coordinate and attend career fairs Determine applicant
requirements by studying job requirements and qualifications
Attract applicants by placing job advertisements; attending job
fairs, organizing recruiting events, and using newsgroups and job
boards Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing
applicants; analyzing responses; screening, verifying references;
comparing qualifications to job requirements Arrange management
interviews by coordinating schedules Evaluate applicants by
discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications,
interviewing, and screening using consistent qualifications Manage
new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements
and arranging temporary accommodations Manage the scheduling of
orientations with the instructors and the applicants Accomplish
human resources and organization mission by completing related
tasks as required Attract applicants by placing job advertisements;
contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites Determines
applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing
responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job
requirements Arrange management interviews by coordinating
schedules; arranges travel, lodging, and meals; escorting applicant
to interviews; arranging community tours Evaluate applicants by
discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with
managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of
qualifications Improves organization by recommending new policies
and practices Avoid legal challenges by understanding current
legislation; enforcing regulations with managers, and recommending
new procedures Update job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining
personnel networks; participating in professional organizations
Accomplish human resources and organization mission by completing
related results as needed Support diversity in hiring Identify the
best candidates for open positions in a consistent manner
REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 1 year experience in HR or Recruiting
preferred Good telephone skills Ability to operate 10 key by touch
accurately Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word programs
Experience with CDL drivers and/or the transportation industry a
plus Good organizational skills Ability to multi-task Strong
written and verbal skills Adept at problem solving Interviewing
skills Good people skills Knowledge of employment law a plus
Results driven Professionalism Good judgment Problem solving
Experience in screening applicants preferred Ability to speak
clearly and be understood on the telephone Ability to work well
