Role) Friendswood, TX | In-Person or Hybrid Sheltering Oak Therapy
Sheltering Oak Therapy is seeking a trauma-informed psychotherapist
who is early-to-mid career and committed to developing depth and
excellence in trauma and attachment work. We serve individuals and
couples navigating complex trauma, relational wounds, anxiety, and
depression. Our clinical philosophy prioritizes strong therapeutic
alliance, careful pacing, nervous system regulation, and long-term
healing over high-volume, symptom-focused treatment. This role is
designed for a clinician who wants to grow into mastery — not
simply maintain a caseload. Clinical Responsibilities • Provide
individual therapy to adults navigating trauma and relational
distress • Conduct thorough assessments and develop phased,
attachment-informed treatment plans • Maintain timely, ethical
documentation • Engage actively in case consultation and
collaborative discussion • Pursue ongoing professional development
in trauma modalities Consultation Support We are committed to
supporting clinicians who are building advanced trauma competency.
• Regular case consultation meetings • Mentorship focused on
complex trauma and attachment work • Clinical guidance on pacing,
stabilization, and phase-oriented treatment • Support navigating
challenging clinical dynamics • Encouragement and support in
pursuing advanced trauma training Qualifications • Active Texas
license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist) • Foundational trauma
training (EMDR Basic Training, IFS Level 1, EFT externship, somatic
coursework, etc.) OR strong commitment to pursuing advanced
training • 1–3 years clinical experience preferred • Emotional
steadiness, humility, and strong professional integrity What We
