We are currently seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our evening team, enhancing our surgical services through technical expertise, compassionate patient interaction, and unwavering support of our healthcare professionals. This role is crucial in maintaining our standards of clinical excellence and operational efficiency within the surgical unit. Prepare and organize the operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies as required for various surgical procedures. Assist surgical team in scrubbing and other related duties, ensuring adherence to strict aseptic techniques. Anticipate surgeon's needs and provide necessary instruments and supplies during operation. Maintain a sterile environment to ensure all infection control guidelines are followed. Assist in the preparation, care for, and disposal of specimens taken for laboratory analysis. Properly dispose of all used needles, sponges, and other sharps in compliance with OSHA standards. Participate in counting sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after surgery. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and operating room standards. Proficiency in maintaining sterile environments and aseptic practices. Ability to work flexibly and respond to varying surgery schedules. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a high-stress environment.
