Qualifications • Integrates service into the organization’s primary
functions. • Responsible for coordinating and integrating
interdepartmental and intradepartmental services. • Develops and
implements policies and procedures that guide and support the
provision of services. • Recommends a sufficient number of
qualified and competent persons to provide care and treatment. •
Determines and ensures the competence of all staff members is
assisted, maintained, demonstrated, and improved on an ongoing
basis. • Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care
and services provided. • Maintains quality control programs, as
appropriate. • Responsible for orienting and providing in-service
training and continuing education for all persons in the
department. • Recommends space and other resources needed by the
department. • Participates in selection sources for needed services
not provided by the department or the organization. • Supports the
mission, goals and objectives of the hospital. • Maintains and
improves own nursing knowledge. • Reviews EMAR scan reports,
assessing for staff education/process improvement. • Responsible
for ensuring core measure patients are identified and protocols
followed. • Monitors overtime usage by personnel; develops
proposals for equipment purchases and service contracts; reviews
purchases with reporting administrator and recommends appropriate
vendors(if required) • Effective strategic planning and
operational, financial, personnel management processes for the
department and participates in strategic planning for nursing
services. This ensures high quality, cost effective, consistent
nursing care. What qualifications you will need: • Advanced Cardiac
Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date •
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of
employment start date • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30
days of employment start date • (RN) Registered Nurse license
required • Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred •
Minimum 5 years’ experience as Medical/Surgical or ICU nurse, and 3
years management experience.
