We partner with our Nurses at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation, planning, coordination and provision of care for the patient while performing clinical insertion of a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter, Ultrasound Guided IV and Midlines. The PICC RN is responsible for the placement and monitoring of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC), Midline Catheters, Peripheral IV Catheters and other venous access devices inserted with and without the use of ultrasound guidance with minimal supervision, under the order of a Medical Doctor and in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital/department policies. What qualifications you will need:--- Graduate of a recognized RN program current licensure in good standing in Texas or compact licensure state--- Evidence 3 - 5 years PICC IV-Therapy experience --- ACLS and BLS credentials required --- Must have computer knowledge --- Ability to learn advanced vascular access procedures for patients This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center is a 445+ bed acute care hospital located in the heart of central Houston, adjacent to the Medical Center and Museum District, and provides quality care for the greater Houston area.
