Job Description:
An Operations Manager with 5 years' professional experience in a
manufacturing setting is needed in the Houston area. The Operations
Manager willbe responsible for overseeing the day-to-day
operations, managing projects, optimizing processes, and ensuring
the highest level of quality and efficiency throughout the
organization.
OPERATIONS MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management:
Oversee and manage the overall operations including production,
project management, procurement, logistics, and quality
assurance.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency,
productivity, and profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with
business objectives and customer requirements.
Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely
completion within budgetary constraints.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective
mitigation strategies.
Foster a collaborative environment and facilitate communication
among project stakeholders.
Process Optimization:
Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for
improvement and efficiency gains.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
Drive process standardization and best practices across the
organization.
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure
compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure
and improve quality and performance.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to
quality and safety standards.
Supply Chain and Vendor Management:
Collaborate with procurement teams to manage the supply chain,
including vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship
management.
Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials,
equipment, and services.
Monitor vendor performance and drive continuous improvement in
supplier quality and delivery.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of
engineers, technicians, and support staff.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous
learning.
Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities
for skill enhancement and career growth.
OPERATIONS MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (advanced
degree preferred).
Proven experience in operations management within the engineering
or manufacturing industry, with a focus on Renewable Energy and/or
Oil & Gas sectors.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of
successfully leading complex projects from initiation to
completion.
In-depth knowledge of industrial sealing and bolting processes,
standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and quality
management systems.
Proficiency in process optimization methodologies (e.g., lean
manufacturing, Six Sigma) and tools.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Commitment to safety and a strong safety record.
