services. The Power is On and we keep it on. What you’ll do… The
Generator Testing and Preservation Technician is an entry level
position that will be responsible for initial testing of new
generators at our test pad prior to them being deployed to the
field, and the preservation of already existing units. This role
will also perform basic mechanical tasks such as fluid changes, and
other tasks as needed. This position will report to an Area Manager
in the Houston area, and the work will be in the Houston metroplex.
The technician would be required to commute to our facility in East
Houston. This role will also require travel to customer sites
around the Houston area. This position will be a hybrid shop and
field role. You’ll make an impact by: · Performing initial testing
on generators prior to sending them to the field. · Assist in
repairs to generators when problems arise. · Perform on site
preservation work at customer sites around the Houston Area. ·
Assist with basic mechanical maintenance such as fluid changes. ·
Assist and learn from experienced engine mechanics for larger scale
repairs. · Assist in future mechanical upgrade campaigns around the
Houston area. · Safely prepare, operate, and maintain a motor
vehicle for purposes of conducting company business Requirements:
You’ll sweep us off our feet if you: · Have experience working with
or around machinery, engines, or generators. · Are knowledgeable
with workplace safety. · Have basic knowledge of how engines work.
· Are enthusiastic to learn about electrical generating equipment.
· Are punctual, have good communication skills, and a willingness
to grow with the role. · Are not be afraid to get your hands dirty
and help solve problems as they arise. · Have the ability to show
up to work every day with a positive attitude. What you’ll need: ·
Education - High School Diploma, or equivalent. · Skills – Ability
to follow instructions and document results. · Familiar with
Microsoft Office suite· Ability to work outdoors and in the weather
· Physical requirements and working conditions: Must be able to
work on a ladder, lift up to 50 pounds, work in the heat, cold, and
bad weather. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and sit through
the workday. Must be able to frequently lift items and enter
