Job Description:
Job DescriptionRequirements for the Customer Engineers: All
Service activities will fall into the typical skill sets of either
a Level 2 deskside engineer or a L1/2 remote engineer which are
principally PC Support personnel. Hands & Eyes Support - perform
physical activity under direction from the remote party Hardware
Break/Fix assistance and vendor management PC imaging processes and
procedures Installation, Move, Add and Change (IMAC) Server backup
/ restore Tape management - provide tape exchange for backup and
restore services; store tapes in defined locations and adhere to
tape rotation guidelines. VIP Support - generally consists of a
more tailored and reactive approach to ensure the respective VIP
has everything they need and that they are comfortable with the
usage of the equipment and associated peripherals, sourcing where
necessary. Non-PC IT Equipment Support and asset management -
provide on-site triage and resolution recommendation to non PC IT
devices e.g. Printers and Scanners. If required, specific training
& instruction will be provided. Mobile Phone Support - a
combination of Hands & Eyes, Asset Management, Non-PC IT equipment
support specifically for mobile devices. Associated remote call
handling and Ticket dispatch
