Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

This position will support the overall efficient operation of the accounting department and is required to comply with all internal controls over financial reporting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position reports to the Controller and requires strong analytical, organization and communication skills. Additionally, this position must comply with all Company policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and reports.
• Maintain Holding Company financials
• Prepare Call Report
• Prepare and submit periodic regulatory reports
• Support all aspects of the general ledger
• Assist with tax payments, estimates and supporting documentation for tax consultant
• Oversee Accounts Payable department
• Maintain investment funds
• Maintain notes payable and advances
• Assist with research and analysis of regulatory and accounting guidance
• Provide additional information and schedules for auditors and examiners as needed
• Support oversight of internal controls, accounting processes and data management
• Assist with merger and acquisition integrations
• Cross-train in other accounting functions
• Perform other duties as assigned

  QUALIFICATIONS
  
  Education/Certification:
  Accounting/Finance Degree
  
  Required Knowledge:
  General knowledge of accounting rules and regulations
  
  Experience Required:
  7+ years' experience, prior Banking experience preferred
  
  Skills/Abilities:
  Detail oriented
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  Strong oral and written communication skills
  Self-starter that can manage multiple projects
  Ability to work will with others
  Ability to work under pressure
  Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs
  
  Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
