Job Description - Financial Support SpecialistFinancial Support Specialist 9+ month contract Sugar Land, TXThe main function of the Financial Support Specialist is to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Responsible for a wide range of technology and can work in areas closely related to computers. Job Responsibilities: Research and match "proof of delivery " with invoices; balance and reconcile totals with source documents or computer listings in order to locate errors, encode correct amounts, or prepare correction records Manually post invoices to customer portals Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures; prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred. 2+ years of professional financial and/or accounting experience required. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups) required; SAP experience preferred Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed. Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting. - provided by Dice
